Minister:

Emil Balavac (SDP) was born on February 16, 1989 in Mostar. He earned a degree in law at SUNY (USA) and the American University in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and is currently studying for a master's degree in international relations and European studies at the International Burch University Sarajevo. He studied at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Belgrade and the Faculty of Law at the University of Zagreb. He worked as a grant manager at the International Organization for Migration (IOM - UN Migration), adviser to the mayor of the Municipality of Jablanica, legal consultant at the Municipal Election Commission of Jablanica, and as a manager of a series of projects at the Youth Club Under the Same Sun, the Youth Council of the Municipality of Jablanica and the Youth Umbrella Organization of Serbia (KOMS). He worked as an educator/trainer, organizer, consultant and moderator of seminars for the OSCE, the Council of Europe, the Institute for Youth Development KULT, RYCO (Regional Office for Youth Cooperation), the Youth Initiative for Human Rights Sarajevo, UNDP, and the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was a member of the Commission for Coordination of Youth Issues in BiH at the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH. He is a member of the European Youth Coalition for Health and the Environment, the European Network of Peace Ambassadors, the European Coalition for Health and the Environment, the BiH Youth Network and the "Anna Lindh Foundation" in BiH.

- Ordinance on the form, content and manner of keeping the complaint book

- Ordinance on activities, facilities and installations that can be built and put into operation only if they have an environmental permit

- Ordinance on deadlines for submitting applications for issuing an environmental permit for activities, facilities and installations that have permits issued before the entry into force of the Environmental Protection Act.

In accordance with Article 5 of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Cantonal Ministries and Other Cantonal Administration Bodies ("Official Gazette of the HNK", No. 4/07), the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Environmental Protection performs administrative and professional tasks related to:

internal trade in the Canton and economic relations with other Cantons; balancing and monitoring the supply of the Canton; trade policy; monitoring and analyzing goods in the territory of the Canton, participating in the creation of import and export policy in order to protect production within the Canton; control of product prices and services in accordance with the law; trade policy and domestic production protection policy, creation and implementation of cantonal tourism policy in order to create and develop tourist resources; creation of policy and development of recreational, rehabilitation and other centers; tourist-propaganda activity; catering and entrepreneurship; investment of foreign persons in domestic companies in the field of tourism in accordance with the law, environmental protection and nature protection; professional and other tasks related to the acquisition, management and use of dedicated financial resources from the Federation's environmental protection fund; financing and co-financing of facilities under the jurisdiction of the Ministries; participation in the creation of nature protection projects in accordance with the law, drafting of laws and other regulations within its competence, administrative decision within its competence, other tasks which are placed under its obligation or competence by law.
