Institute for the Protection of Cultural and Historical Heritage

Ivanka Miličević-Capek was born on 30 September 1968 in Mostar. She graduated in archaeology and ethnology at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Zagreb. She defended her master's thesis with the title ''Cemeteries of Migrations of Peoples in the Territory of Today's Herzegovina'' at the University of Zadar, earning the title of Master of Science in the field of humanities, field of archaeology, branch of medieval archaeology, and as part of the doctoral degree process outside the doctoral studies at the University of Zadar, she was approved for the dissertation topic ''Archaeological Image of the Middle Ages in the Territory of Today's Bosnia and Herzegovina from the 7th to the 13th Century''. She was the director of the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments of the HZ Herceg-Bosna in Mostar. Since the establishment of the Study of Archaeology and Art History at the University of Mostar, she has participated as an external associate. She has published several professional and scientific papers in archaeology and the protection of cultural heritage, and has participated in numerous archaeological research, projects, scientific and professional conferences in the country and abroad.
