Ivan Lesko was born on November 24, 1963 in Veliki Ograđenik, Čitluk Municipality. He earned a degree in geodetic engineering from the Faculty of Civil Engineering – Department of Geodesy, University of Sarajevo. He worked as an expert associate and as a director in the Municipal Administration for Geodetic and Property-Legal Affairs of the Municipality of Čitluk, then as an assistant director in the Republic Administration for Geodetic and Property-Legal Affairs of HR Herceg-Bosna, and as an assistant director and director in the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Property-Legal Affairs. He initiated and organized a number of projects and events in the field of geodesy and cadastre, and published more than 20 papers in domestic and international publications. He is married and has three children.
Directorate for Geodetic and Property Legal Affairs
Based on Art. 19 of the Act on County Ministries and Other Bodies of County Administration («Official Gazette of the County of Česká Lomnica» No. 4/98), the Directorate for Geodetic and Property-Legal Affairs performs administrative and other professional tasks related to: 1. geodetic surveying (networks of permanent geodetic points, detailed terrain surveying, preparation of plans and maps), real estate cadastre (land cadastre, building cadastre, water cadastre) and water supply cadastre, except for tasks that are legally assigned to the competence of the Federation and municipalities, 2. mapping of county areas, 3. recording the areas of spatial units (borders and areas: counties, municipalities, statistical units and areas under a special legal regime) in accordance with the law, 4. maritime domain cadastre, 5. geodetic tasks of importance for defense, 6. land consolidation and land surveying for special needs, 7. preparation and execution of special programs of geodetic works financed from the County Budget, adopted by the Assembly and the County Government, 8. ownership-legal and other real-legal relations on real estate and rights to real estate, 9. property-legal affairs related to real estate over which the county has the right to dispose and making proposals for the reprivatization of property, 10. drafting laws and other regulations within its jurisdiction, 11. resolving second-instance administrative proceedings on appeals within the jurisdiction of the administration, 12. inspection supervision.
