ALLOCATION OF BAGS AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR STUDENTS FROM SOCIALLY DISADVANTAGED FAMILIES

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, with the support of the cantonal government and in cooperation with the social work centers in the HNK area, has provided one thousand school bags and related supplies for students from socially vulnerable families for this school year. On this occasion, and as part of the traditional Children's Week, the relevant Minister Milenko Bevanda today, in the premises of the Social Work Center Mostar, presented the purchased bags and supplies to a number of students, wishing them a happy and successful education.

- It is important that we do everything we can to bridge the differences and, within our capabilities, create equal conditions for a successful and happy education and upbringing for everyone. We must and want to build a society with equal opportunities for everyone and we strive, and with this example, to send a message that we never forget the families who are in a weaker financial situation and who need to be given the necessary help - said Minister Bevanda, addressing the children with a message that he believes in their potential and that tomorrow, as educated and hardworking people, they too will build the future and betterment of our society.

Acting Antonija Novak, director of the Center for Social Work in Mostar, thanked the Government of HNK and the relevant ministry for allocating budget funds this year to help socially disadvantaged families with children prepare for the upcoming school days.
